"OSM - Krijoni Harten Tuaj" Handbook - Promotion Meetings

After the publishing of the handbook “Open Street Map - Krijoni Hartën Tuaj” (Create Your Map), it was time to organize meetings to promote this handbook. The first meeting took place in Prizren, where with the help of Ajtene Krasniqi and the Prizren Crafts Association, the meeting was held in one of the halls of the association. It was a very well organized meeting attended by well known businessmen of the municipality of Prizren, together with the deputy mayor of Prizren. The presentation was given by Taulant Ramabaja who who introduced FLOSSK and our work, and then the presentation was continued by Besfort Guri, the handbook author, who presented “Open Street Map - Krijoni Hartën Tuaj”.

The second meeting was in Gjakova. As usual, Heroid Shehu and Jon Berisha were those who helped make the Gjakova meeting possible. The participants here were a group of young people interested in Open Street Map. The meeting began with the presentation of the contents of the book, and then a how-to demonstration of working with Java application such as JOSM to edit OSM.

The third meeting was held at the UNICEF Innovations Lab office in Prishtina. In all three meetings handbooks were given to the participants as a sign of gratitude for their presence.
